JEN'S WEDDING

Was on leave yesterday and today, all for Jen's BIG DAY. Didn't sleep since yesterday and I knocked out when I arrived home this afternoon...

The whole affair started with me meeting Jas and Lynn to shop for Jen's wedding gift and we settled with a Goldheart pendant. Next, to supermarket to buy the "goodies" for the BROTHERS!

Jen had her hair-combing ritual at 1am plus and after a short nap, we woke up at 3am to get ready for her make-up.
The groom & brothers arrived at 5.30am and we fed them cod liver oil bread, lime, sugar syrup, bittergourd & wasabi crackers at the door. Han spent lots of time and effort to prepare the ultimate LIVER DRINK but didn't get to use it much as Dom decided to give us a big Ang Pao when he smelt the drink! [Thanks Dom :)]. The brothers were really on and sang Jen's favorite "Can't help falling in love" at her room door before we let them in.

Left Jen's place at 6.15am, ate lots, took lots of pictures and before mid morning, all the brothers and sisters were already dead tired...

So much preparartion and its all done within one morning.
The party will continue during this Sunday's dinner!

WORK & THOUGHTS...

Was in Pattaya in Oct for a trade show and stayed in Hard Rock Pattaya. The service was really so-so but I like my simple and stylish room.






Didn't really enjoy the destination though but there was good company and it was great catching up with many other industry friends whom I didn't meet for ages. Its always heartwarming to know that someone who lives in another part of the globe, who sees you once every few years, have few minutes of interaction each time only, remembers you and your name! Thanks for remebering me my friends!



To be honest, I worked really hard during this trip. Making sure that I followed through what I need to do. Received lots of advise from the "veterans" in the industry too and I now know what I should work towards for my career. However, it was and will continue to be my ambition to be a good wife and mother, rather then a high flyer in the corporate world... I know I'll be well taken care of and earning big bucks was never and hopefully, will never be what I aspire. Oh well, some may label me as "without ambition" or say that I "talk cock". But well, guess I just see it in a different way... Of course will need money to get by and enjoy the occasional holidays and shopping. But my ultimate ambition is simply to be happy, to be able to love and be loved and to be comfortable in my own skin. I's still living in my own ideal world...

WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF JEN'S HEN'S NIGHT (Oct 14-15)

Its great going on a trip together with the gals for female-bonding (of course I miss my Dearie!) - its long overdued. Wanted to go on a trip together since school days!

Had lunch by the pool, swam, had a good massage, dined, partied, slept.. talked A LOT! Even started discussion on where will my hen's night be held.. Phuket seems to be the clear choice.

Some guys attemptted to pick us up in the club and oh boy, its been so long since we last partied and played those games that I can no longer remember how to handle those attention ! Hahaha... Got a round of free teuqila shot for us all after the DJ annouced that its Jen's Hen's night and he actually said "Welcome to Hell, Jenny!" Haha... come on, can't be that bad. They've only just began... (hmm.. reminds me of the theme song at MPC, "We've only just begand" by the Carpenters)
