Its been so long once again.. since my last blog.
Clearing leave for the past 2 days and its a luxury. Spent the last 2 mornings having breakfast, lunch and chatting with mother-in-law. Lied in bed to watch Korean DVD and today, decided to click on my blog and refresh my memory about the past months.
Its cool! Having a reference to what I was thinking about months ago. I wa busy blogging about my new position, wedding prep and all.. now I am fully settled into the job, married and one thing didn't change - being happy. Or should I say, I am happier.
Dave & I discussed this many times - to some people, getting married may be about signing a piece of official document, going through a ceremony. To us, it sort of changed our life, our perspective and our direction. It is definitely for the better. At no point in time do we feel as "settled" as now and I have fully understand the term, "settling down".
Its wonderful to have someone to go home to each day, going for dinner, dessert, shopping for groceries, attending functions as Mr & Mrs Chew... we do that all the time when we were dating, however, its just different. Its nice to know that you have that special someone under the same roof all the time and that no matter how bad the day was at work, there is someone there to bring a smile to your face at the end of the day. I do not deny the fact that we may eventually fight or may even find the presence of each other not as pleasant, but well, I am enjoying every bit of married mife right now and will deal with those when they come!
Not worrying and definitely not dying to have our own place/ car / luxuries right now. Keeping a level head on what is most important now - Building up our careers and a family soon. So much about married life right now.
As for work, I am glad that I managed the 6.30 - 7.00pm target each day. Been keeping my "doors" closed for a while and it time to open up my doors again. Come what may..
Telling myself no luxurious bags, fancy make-up kits and unnecessary clothes for now.. getting ready for X'mas again and year after year, I am still loving "the joy of giving" .. starting to draw up a gift list mentally already. Christmas decors, fruit cakes, gingerbread boys, presents, pretty dresses and Chirstmas catelogues from shopping centres all adds up to the X'mas spirit!
Too much to write... rushing off to Mum's place...
