I'm starting to like all "pie" stuff... beef & kidney pie from the pubs, chicken pie from pola, apple pie from MC, cornish pie from England...!

Had a good weekend feasting! (No pies though!). Grandma treated us to pizza yesterday and had curry for lunch today! Ended the weekend with a nice seafood dinner with Dearie, Georgina and Tony!

The thought of going back to work tomorrow is annoying. I haven't complete my report or submit my budget for my business trip! I have a pile of work sitting on my desk and some unreasonable requests to attend to imnmediately! Its gonna be a crazy week and i really don't look forward to it!
Oh well, work and life goes on and the big consolation now is that Dearie's back! No more long hours on the computer or phone!

Welcome Back,Dearie!

Went back to Brighton yesterday as we thought that we may not go back in a long while.
Took the 9am coach, went back to 172 Lewes Road and then, visited Brighton Pier, Laines & Churchill Square!
I have never been to Brighton during Summer and the feeling is totally different. Brighton looked so much more lively with the sun shinning on the happy faces. Walking along the Pier is a must-do and we did and took some more pictures there though we already have loads!

There was no intention to buy anything but simply strolling through the Laines with Dearie and revisiting some of my favourite shops was good enough.
Visited Whittard and bought some gifts for colleagues. Most of the time, there is this pressure to buy gifts for others than to find something for myself. After the gifts were settled, I feel so much better.. Hmm...
Fish and Chips and Beef & Kidney Pie were the menu for the day. Returned to the Fish & Chips Shop at Pool Valley where we last ate with Jimbo's parents. Since the last visit, I could feel that the chef really takes pride in the preparation of the food - full concentration as he dips the fish into the batter and then, fry it. He always tell his guests with a smile that it will take about 8 mins as everything is cooked fresh. The food was delicious as before and he definitely deserves more business than the lousy fish and chips stalls at the Pier!

We will definitely miss Brighton and hope to return some day. When we next visit London, I am certain that we will find time to fit Brighton into our itinerary. And I hope that Kensington (our favourite English Breakfast Place), Pool Valley Fish & Chips, Velvet (my Favourite Pinky-Girly Shop)... will still be around.
For breakfast, the Hotel allows us to have it "room service style". Breakfast is included in the room rate and all we need is add 1.50 pounds and they will have it delivered into the room! The English breakfast was good enough for 2! Never know that breakfast in bed can be so fun!
Its 00.30am here in London.
Currently in Swissotel The Howard, in a guest room overlooking the River Thames...Been away for a week from home and work and today is the only day that was pure leisure for me. So tired, but will definitely try to find time to blog the week's happenings in here some time soon. For now, it time to crawl into bed!
